Troupe ‘Hip’notic will be part of Yucy’s fabulous Arabian Nights Show on April 19th at Colony South Hotel, Clinton MD. Admission is $7, the show begins at 7pm.

This show features: Nimeera, Amustela, Troupe ‘Hip’notic, and Yucy’s “Belly Dance for Life” All Stars. Rising stars: Safiya and Rashid Aladeen!

Former troupe member Anon (who you might remember moved to Oregon) is returning to Maryland!!! We’re absolutely thrilled that she’s coming back to us and we welcome her with wide open arms. The trip back is guaranteed to be chockful of stories and adventures… Becca is flying out West to meet her and they are driving back to Maryland in an RV! They’ll also be stopping at Tribal Throwdown, Nouveau Nights and Rakkasah West and who knows where else! The girls will blogging their adventures so stay tuned to find out what mischief they’ll be up to. The madness begins on 3/17…

For the fourth year running, Troupe ‘Hip’notic performed at the Show Place Arena on March 3, for United Way of Calvert County’s Mardi Gras Gala Ball.  This year we unveiled our Mardi Gras float and a beautiful choreography with a special surprise got everyones attention Isis Wings! Once again we had a wonderful time at the Mardi Gras!

2/10: As always, Saturday you can see two of our dancers at India Garden restaurant in Lexington Park. This week happens to feature Shahla Zahr and our newest troupe member, Jesenia! While they entertain at India Garden, Chandani, Aaminah & Becca will be performing at The Jaycees Center for a private function.

2/16: Troupe ‘Hip’notic will be part of Calvert Pines Mardi Gras celebration on Friday night!

2/17: Aaminah & Becca at India Garden. Also, the troupe is excited to be participating in “A Day in the Middle East” SCA event, which sounds like it will be a really fun, family friendly activity!

Just as we welcome Jesenia to the troupe, we also sadly say ‘goodbye’ to Caleena. Caleena gracefully bowed out of the troupe saying that she must respectfully resign as she is moving out of the area. Although she was only in the troupe for a short time, we will all miss Caleena’s wonderful humor, skill and incredible dancing.
