Alison fell in love with dance in 2005 after taking an Irish set dancing class and attending contra dances.  Inspired by the confidence and poise exhibited by belly dancers at local restaurants and the Maryland Renaissance Faire, she began taking belly dance classes for fun and fitness in the fall of 2006.  Immediately, she knew that belly dance was something that she wanted to pursue in more detail.  Recently, she decided to take her dance from casual to performance level, and found a home with the ladies of Troupe ‘Hip’notic.
